Dear AAIN-NJ2 Family,

Though late into February, a warm welcome to all our dear members. Thank you for becoming a new member and or continuing to be our long-term member of AAIN-NJ2. Here we are in 2022 continuing to say, “unprecedented times facing challenges”. This is not what we had planned for although there is still “hope”. Please stay strong as you struggle every day at the frontline or behind the scenes due to staff shortages or challenging situations. Every role as a nurse is very important. We cannot do this without each other. Let us begin this year with a positive attitude of gratitude moving forward with a hope to grow stronger as we plan to reach 200 members by the end of the year 2022. This is a great honor that we have exceeded our membership more than 100 plus members for the first time of AAIN-NJ2 history. Thank you for believing in me to serve you. Your commitment to AAIN-NJ2 is recognized and rewarded in many ways. Please see the membership advantage and rewards page for more details in few days.

Business has become a norm via virtual these days at the comfort of your own place from informal member meetings like chai and charcha to formal educational and conference events. Unlike the past, AAIN-NJ2 is collaborating with the NAINA and providing educational opportunities with continuing education credits throughout the year virtually at a national level. We will continue to engage, educate, and empower our nurses continually during these unprecedented times.

Kindly take the time to provide self-care. A healthy mind and a healthy body are essential to deliver safe and quality care. Connect with us through various platforms of social media that are available to help you with the much-needed resources like Facebook, Instagram, or you tube. Undoubtedly, we are the MOST trusted profession. Let us stand together united and prove ourselves that we will overcome this challenge and do the best for our patients with no fear. I will be your voice.

Thank you and sincerely,

Uma Venugopal MSN RN CCRN-K
