American Association for Indian Nurses- New Jersey Chapter 2 (AAIN-NJ2)

GALA AWARDS FOR THE NURSES IN NEW JERSEY

American Association for Indian Nurses-New Jersey-Chapter 2 (AAIN-NJ2) presents awards to eligible nurses of Indian heritage living in New Jersey at the Awards and Scholarships Gala, to be held on November 20, 2026. Award recipients must attend the conference, and their registration fees will be waived.

Administration Award

Recognizes nurses who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in the management of nursing
services and patient care operations. Nominees should have a proven record of effective
administration, strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, organizational development, and fostering
environments that promote excellence in nursing practice and leadership development.

Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Excellence Award

Recognizes outstanding Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, including:
• Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM), Nurse Practitioners (NP),
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)
Nominees should demonstrate significant contributions to advancing healthcare practice within
their specialty areas.

Clinical Care Award

Recognizes nurses who consistently provide exemplary patient care and demonstrate excellence in
clinical practice. Nominees should be leaders in implementing evidence-based care, maintaining
professional standards, improving quality outcomes, and enhancing patient experiences.

Community Service Award

Honors nurses who have made significant professional or volunteer contributions to community
health and wellness. Nominees should demonstrate leadership in community outreach, health
promotion, disease prevention, advocacy, and initiatives that improve population health.

Education Award

Recognizes nurse educators who have made outstanding contributions to nursing education
through innovative teaching, curriculum development, mentorship, scholarship, and the promotion
of lifelong learning. Nominees should demonstrate excellence in preparing future nurses and
fostering professional growth among students and colleagues.

Lifetime Achievement AwardRecognizes a current AAIN-NJ2 member who has made significant contributions to the nursing
profession through a lifetime of service spanning more than 40 years.
Research AwardHonors nurse researchers who have advanced nursing science through innovative research,
scholarly publications, funded projects, evidence-based practice initiatives, and mentorship of
future nurse researchers.

• The Awards Application is open through October 31st, 2026

• The applications will be reviewed by selected board members of AAIN-NJ2 and the AAIN-NJ2 Awards & Scholarship Committee chairperson will notify the award recipient via email 2 weeks (2) weeks before the event.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nominee Eligibility

Nominees must:

• Be a nurse of Indian origin or heritage.

• Be a paid member of AAIN-NJ2.

• Actively participate in AAIN-NJ2 activities.

• Be registered for the Gala at the time of award submission.

• Be present at the Scholarship and Awards Gala to receive the award.

Nominator Eligibility

Nominations may be submitted by:

• AAIN-NJ2 members

• Colleagues

• Patients

• Family members

• Other professionals familiar with the nominee’s contributions

Nominators must obtain the nominee’s permission before submitting their information.
